Preview REPORT Cannabis Extracts in Germany 2021-2025

12 Special reports on the Cannabis market are published every quarter, showing the gross sales and prescriptions of cannabinoid-containing finished medicinal products and preparations. Accompanying survey on Cannabis by the BfArM The Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) is mandated by law to conduct a non- interventional accompanying survey on the use of Cannabis medicinal products. For this purpose, phy- sicians transmit to the BfArM the data required for the accompanying survey in anonymised form. Detailed data of the interim evaluation were published in the July 2019 issue of the Federal Health Gazette. A summary of the publication has been available online since 29 th May 2019. The companion survey will run until 2022. The results of the accompanying survey are, among other things, the basis for the Joint Federal Committee (G-BA) to regulate the future assumption of treatment costs in the context of a therapy with Cannabis medicinal products according to the Social Code (SGB V). Based on the data of this ac- companying survey, the G-BA then issues a drug guideline for Cannabis therapy for the SHI sector
