7 GLOSSARY Cannabis Agency The Cannabis Agency is a department within the BfArM's Marketing Authori- zation Division 4 (Special Therapies and Traditional Medicines). It controls the cultivation, harvesting, processing, quality testing, storage, packaging, and dis- pensing to wholesalers and pharmacists or manufacturers of cannabis. In the process, the Cannabis Agency will take possession of the cannabis for medici- nal purposes after harvesting. Entourage effect This is understood as the increased clinical efficacy through non-cannabis mol- ecules/substances. Here, mainly the various terpenes are mentioned. GACP "Good Agricultural and (Wild) Collecting Practice" European guideline for the provision of plant starting materials (drug raw material). Good Agricultural and Collecting Practice (GACP) is applicable to the cultivation and wild collection of plants and exudates from plants used as active ingredients or starting material to produce active ingredients in medicinal products.
