7 Contract development modules The joint definition of objectives is recorded via a checklist, refined and then condensed into core parameters. The checklist agreed upon in the open group discussion then serves as a guide through the development of the contract. Target formulation of the contract offer, e.g.: • Accompany new product launches with contracts • Support established products in the market • Extending the life cycle of products Module 1 Module 2 Selection of product and indication as well as definition of the service package, e.g.: • Product, package sizes and potency • Target indication and target population • Product and medical service or call center support This module is prepared and documented in a guided group discussion using a checklist. A target definition is made which ensures the possibility of a later review. Module 3 Definition of the basic medical - economic model, e.g.: • Disease progression and complications and morbidities • Outcome parameters • Compensation structure Both dimensions of the basic construct of medicine & economics are prepared via checklists, expert interviews, literature and data analysis, and targeted field research. Module 4 Development of contract models and selection of the preferred contract offer, e.g.: • Discount contract, capitation contract, Pay4Performace contract • Identification of modifications to the desired model • Generation of a back - up model In parallel, a literature search and, if necessary, selected field research will be conducted to determine which innovative contract models are known and successful in the target indicati- on. This is followed by a comparison with the company's own offering. Finally, this module presents initial model calculations on the cost - benefit effectiveness of the contract model.
